The Safe Caring and Inclusive Schools Committee met after school on Wednesday, December 5th. The group, made up of interested volunteers from the teaching/administration staff, students and the parent community, met to discuss the short-term and long-term goals for the SCIS at Janet Metcalfe P.S. During the meeting, the student representatives shared their valuable insight of the locations in and around our school where students may feel less safe or where inappropriate behaviour occurs.  The committee went through the Code of Conduct, published in the planners and on the website, and have agreed to begin work on a Code of Conduct more specific to our population at Janet Metcalfe P.S.  Finally, the group identified the desire to create a clear Anti-Bullying initiative.  The SCIS will meet again on February 6, 2019, to begin moving forward with their short-term goals.
