Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’ve been given the go ahead to hire a parking lot attendant at Janet Metcalfe P.S.! The allocation for this position is 5 hours per week. We are in need of someone for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon. Please connect with us at the office if you or someone you know may be interested in this position. Start time before school would be 8:45 – 9:15 a.m. and afternoon between 3:15-3:45 p.m. The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 / 5 days per week.

Re: Student Drop Off / Pick Up (i.e., Tarmac Area):

We’ve made some exceptions to our tarmac zone to alleviate parent/guardian concerns during morning drop off and safe dismissal after school. We recognize that the tarmac is a big area and families would like to watch their primary child(ren) enter the school safely, however, we are noticing that too many adults are too close to the entry/exit doors. To accommodate parents/guardians of primary learners, we are encouraging adults to stand on the other side of the small garden (i.e., other side of tree/boulders) and away from primary lines / door areas. We want to ensure that the safest possible environment is maintained outdoors.
