On June 21st at 9am our future Janet Metcalfe students will be taking a walk over to the site of the new school from Jean Steckle PS.  The primary goal of this walk will be to help our students to understand how to cross Fischer-Hallman near the roundabout safely!

Student Transportation Services of the Waterloo Region (STSWR) will have their staff present to ensure safe travels.  They will also be providing all students and teachers involved with information on how to cross appropriately.  We are inviting all students from grades 1-6 on this walk, even though it will just be our future grade 7’s who will have to negotiate this crossing in the fall.

I feel that it is also a great opportunity to start to build some excitement for your children about their new adventure in the fall – and I cannot wait to meet them and begin to bring our new school community together!
