We are thrilled to participate in the annual Terry Fox campaign. This will be Janet Metcalfe’s first Terry Fox Run and campaign! Teachers will be sharing the incredible story of Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope with their classes. Our goal this year will be to raise $1200 for cancer research. So many people are directly and indirectly affected by this devastating disease. We have established our annual “Toonies for Terry” campaign where we ask each student and staff member to donate a toonie for Terry. Please send a toonie with your child to school and they will be able to throw it into the metal bucket that will come around to every classroom, each morning. All monies collected will go to the Terry Fox Foundation where it will be used to help fund cancer research so that one day, this disease will be a thing of the past. We are hopeful that this dream will come true. Our run will take place on Friday, Sept. 28th at the school. Students will be bringing home a pledge form to collect other donations. All pledges and money should be in by Friday. Thanks for your support! Feel free to go to the website: terryfox.org for more information, or to donate online.
