Just a reminder – in the interest of STUDENT SAFETY, which I know is the most important things to all of us, there is no public parking or drop off in the school parking lot.  All vehicles that are permitted in the parking lot have approved parking passes as they are staff and do not go in and out during high traffic times.  The child care has their own parking passes which allow their parents to use the parking spots that are designated for the child care.  We have had several near accidents over the last few days that have involved people turning around in the entrance of the parking lot, children running to cars in the parking lot, or people getting frustrated that they cannot park there and leaving quite quickly.

The students are our first priority and their safety must come first.  

October is Walk to School Month – let’s encourage our children who do not come by bus to walk every day.  The research is clear on the health and learning benefits that walking to school provide. If you must drive your child to school please review the map on the website from the walk to school event on the first day.  The available parking spots are marked and there are many paths that lead from side streets where you can park to our playground.
