Janet Metcalfe Public School is the lucky recipient of a grant given to us from the Non-Profit Organization called Waterloo Region School Food Gardens ( WR School Food Gardens). This grant provides our school community with a chance to build a fedge (a natural hedge and garden filled with amazing native plant species) and a composter perfect for putting garden waste into. We are looking forward to building this project as it beautifully connects to learning, the curriculum, and the opportunity to build community connections with you and our school.

We are hoping to begin digging and building in the first two weeks of June. If you are interested please call the school to let us know you are able to help !
