A warm, Canadian welcome to Ms. Claudia Nobili from Italy!

Dear JME Families,

I am excited to share that I had the opportunity to participate in a global exchange through the Ontario Principals Council this past March Break. This opportunity allowed me to travel to northern Italy where I was hosted by Claudia Nobili, Vice Principal at Comprehensive Institute Verano Brianza. The program is designed to foster leadership learning, cultural exchange, and new perspectives in education across borders.

During my time in Verano Brianza, I was able to job-shadow both the principal Guiseppe (Peo) Scaglione, and Claudia Nobili, the vice principal of the school, as well as meet with teachers, observe classes, attend School Council and staff meetings, and even teach some “All About Canada” classes to the students. It was an incredible, immersive and engaging learning experience.

Please join me in giving a warm, Canadian welcome to Claudia as she visits Janet Metcalfe from April 28 to May 2 to shadow me in my role as principal. I am so excited to showcase our beautiful school, and to have Claudia meet our students and staff. Claudia will be engaged in lots of learning, observations, conversations, classroom activities and even field trips during her time at Janet Metcalfe. I know she will experience so many wonderful things in her short time here.

Thank you for being a warm and welcoming community for Claudia. I know she will feel the positive energy when she walks into Janet Metcalfe- the best school in the . . . . universe!
