As my final week at Janet Metcalfe approaches…. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you…. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and support you have shown me throughout my time here at JME.  From the very beginning as we rushed to open this beautiful building you have been patient and supportive while we worked through first year glitches and building issues. You showed such gratitude for what we had instead of focusing on what was not yet completed.  Throughout the past 2 years which have been so very challenging for everyone you have continued to look for ways to support your children as they came to a school which did not seem the same as what it had been in the past.  With numerous restrictions at every turn you encouraged them to engage and to be positive members of the Maverick community.  For this I am eternally grateful.  You have amazing children who I am so very thankful to have been able to get to know and work with over the years.  The past week where things have finally started to look a little more like normal, has brought a new excitement to the school and a new bounce in the students’ step which has been amazing to witness.  As we continue to move towards our new ‘normal’ I encourage you to continue to be involved in your child’s education.  The educators at Janet Metcalfe are incredible and I have felt quite blessed to be able to work alongside them over the past 4 years.  Please continue to see them as partners and allies as we work towards the achievement of our Vision here at JME.
